As these are natural living finishes, some mottling and surface variation is to be expected. Color can change over time through natural oxidation. Please note that Planterworx does not supply Corten Steel products weathered. The patina / weathering develops over time.

Planterworx has developed a proprietary process to achieve the look of Oxidized zinc.

This process is a two-staged, involving old world craftsmanship and modern manufacturing techniques. This allows us to control the natural patina look, suspending its appearance without any change over time and without any residual runoff to adjacent materials.

Please be advised that this finish is hand applied and will vary in consistency, color, with mottling, stippling and surface variations as it pertains to the overall finish of the product. Each piece is its own original piece of art and its qualities in its finish will vary from piece to piece in each production run. Color and opacity can and will change from piece to piece. This is what is expected of the craftsmen creating this inconsistent finish.

Finish samples are provided to show a generalization of the finished product, but by no means is it to be judged solely for color, consistency, transparency, mottling and surface variation as this changes greatly in the scale of the finished product. Samples are provided only as baseline 2" x 3" samples are sent as standard issue, larger finish samples can be requested on a project to project basis. Please be advised that inconsistency is embraced and part of the natural beauty of this particular finish.

If a uniform and consistent finish is desired, it may be best to specify an opaque powder coat finish.
